Corey Taylor revela mais detalhes sobre a sua colaboração com Dave Grohl.
Taylor, que acabou gravar um novo álbum com o Stone Sour, publicou em seu Twitter em fevereiro deste ano que ele tinha acabado de completar uma música com Grohl e o produtor do Nirvana,Butch Vig.
O projeto faz parte do documentário de Grohl sobre o Sound City Studios, que presta uma homenagem ao estúdio onde inúmeros álbuns clássicos como o “Nevermind” do Nirvana, “Rumours” do Fleetwood Mac e o álbum auto-intitulado do Rage Against The Machine foram gravados.
Grohl está recebendo um conjunto de músicos para gravar em estúdio, como parte do projeto – incluindo Taylor. A respeito dessa colaboração, Taylor conta ao 98 KUPD:
“[Dave Grohl] enviou um e-mail para mim, basicamente explicando este grande projeto que estava fazendo – o documentário em torno da mesa de som infame que ele recebeu da Sound City, onde tantas pessoas gravaram – incluindo eu – que gravei ‘Iowa’ naquela mesa… Ele comprou, e eu amei a ideia de queera algo como como “quantos álbuns foram feitos naquela mesa?”
Ele acrescentou: “Ele escreveu a música, me mandou uma demo dele e eu estava tipo ‘isso é fantástico’ e eu basicamente só escrevi a primeira coisa que veio na minha cabeça. Ele nem sequer ouviu até eu ir até lá para gravar”. Eu simplesmente a escrevi e ele estava tipo “uau”. Porque nós fizemos a velha escola – duas polegadas de fita, tomada após tomada após tomada. Ele adora o som analógico e com essa mesa, cara… foi muito, muito legal. “
Ainda não se sabe quando o clipe ou a música será lançada.

Corey Taylor reveals more details about his collaboration with Dave Grohl.
Taylor, who finished recording a new album with Stone Sour, posted on his Twitter in February this year that he had just completed a song with Grohl and Nirvana producer, Butch Vig.
The project is part of Grohl's documentary about Sound City Studios, which pays homage to the studio where countless classic albums like "Nevermind" by Nirvana, "Rumours" and Fleetwood Mac's self-titled album from Rage Against The Machine were recorded .
Grohl is getting a group of musicians to record in the studio, as part of the project - including Taylor. Of this collaboration, Taylor tells the 98 KUPD:
"[Dave Grohl] sent an e-mail to me, basically explaining this great project he was doing - the documentary about the sound desk that he received the infamous Sound City, where they recorded so many people - including me - I recorded 'Iowa 'He bought that table ... and I loved the idea of something like queera as "how many albums were made at that table?"
He added: "He wrote the song, he sent me a demo and I was like 'this is amazing' and I basically just wrote the first thing that came into my head. He did not even hear until I go there to record. "I just wrote it and he was like "wow". Because we did the old school - two inch tape, take after take after take. He loves the analog sound and with this table, man ... it was very, very cool. '
It is not known when the clip or the song will be released.
