Shawn sente falta de antigo companheiro de banda

Em entrevista ao jornal Press-Enterprise, o músico M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, percussionista e mentor do Slipknot, falou sobre a primeira turnê completa da banda desde a perda do baixista Paul Gray, que morreu de uma overdose acidental de morfina, em maio de 2010.

“Quando vou para o palco e o Paul não está lá, é devastador”, disse Crahan. “Mas eu o celebro. Eu falo com ele. Eu peço o amor dele. Peço a participação dele. Peço para ele se divertir. Uns dias eu grito com ele. Uns dias eu choro. Por mais longe que nossos fãs estejam, eu olho para eles porque eu percebo que eles notam que ele não está lá e eu sinto a dor deles. Então eu tento olhar para eles, para todos bem nos olhos e deixa-los saber que eu sei o que eles estão passando”, disse.

“O Paul sempre será um dos nove caras, sempre, pelo resto da minha vida. Sei que isso pode soar mal, mas ninguém será parte dos nove. Vai ser uma adição. Nunca será parte dos nove sagrados, os nove que começaram e estão continuando”, acrescentou.

De acordo com Crahan, o Slipknot pretende encerrar a turnê em agosto e fazer uma pausa antes de começar a produzir um novo disco.

Shawn misses former bandmate

In an interview to the Press-Enterprise, the musician M. Shawn "Clown" Crahan, Slipknot percussionist and mentor, spoke about the band's first full tour since the loss of bassist Paul Gray, who died of an accidental overdose of morphine in May 2010.

"When I go to the stage and Paul is not there, it's devastating," Crahan said. "But I celebrate. I speak with him. I call it love. I ask for his participation. I ask him to have fun. Some days I cry with him. Some days I cry. For as far as our fans are, I look at them because I realize that they notice he's not there and I feel their pain. So I try to look for them, for everyone in the eye and let them know that I know what they're going through, "he said.

"Paul always will be one of nine guys, always, for the rest of my life. I know this may sound bad, but nobody will be part of the nine. It will be an addition. It will never be part of the nine sacred, the nine who started and are continuing, "he added.

According to Crahan, Slipknot plans to end the tour in August and take a break before starting to produce a new album.
